I watched zero games but I sure attended the parade! See the way my life and nonexistent cable is set up!
These last few months have been filled with lessons, on top of lessons, on top of lessons, with some blessings! Let me start off first with this parade! One day I'm going to listen! See I thought I was ahead of the game by charging my camera in advance prior to this parade which was an epic once in a lifetime event! So here I am, finally arriving to the parade and so I decided to turn my camera on only to find that my battery is about to die! I'm like "no way, I just charged this thing!" The Lord will let you know what's up if only WE would listen! So umm yea, earlier that morning before work, I had a gentle nudge within me to turn my camera on to make sure it charged. Did I listen??? NOPE!!! SMH! So off to work I go only to find out that school has been cancelled just as I arrived! YE-AH! I was so excited because I would be able to make it to the parade earlier than I had planned! So I work for a while and then head back home only to again have that gentle nudge to check my camera. Did I listen?? NOPE!!!!! Fast forward to the parade where my camera is about to straight up cut off! So what did I do?? I snapped pictures like my life depended on it until the camera cut off! Talk about a hard lesson that was!!! A once in a lifetime event and here I was, not prepared! In that moment I recalled all of the times that I could have used my time more wisely to make sure I had done my part to be prepared to the best of my ability! How many of us have been there before? We want dreams, jobs, and all sort of things yet we don't want to take the necessary steps to listen and do our part. Sometimes you only get one chance to get it right, as was my case with this parade! Ah!
Anyhoo, so I decided not to harp to long on my mishaps and pulled out the celly! I figured my talent isn't dependent upon a thing but what's within me. But oh man certain moments could not be captured as well on my phone as it could have been on my camera! Tough lesson to learn! But this is how we learn and grow: through our mishaps!
Are you ready for what you say you want?
