Today I was oh so inspired as I sat in church listening to the readings and the deacon speaking (Kings 19:16, 19-21, Galatians 5:1, 13-18. Luke 9:51-62). He spoke about the call and how sometimes God gives us a word for something to be fulfilled at a specific time. Now we have the choice of choosing to listen or turn away. As the deacon so amazingly stated, sometimes that word God gives us is good and meant to be fulfilled only for a certain time. And sometimes that time may only be for one moment and then gone forever. And so by not heeding to the call, we can miss the specific time God meant for the word to manifest. Over the past couple of months and weeks, I have truly began to understand the importance of time and timing. Lately there has been so much of awful news about crimes and the lack of care for the human life. Each time I hear a story, I realize that my life is a gift and I must fulfill what I was put here to do. The only sure thing we know will happen in life is that we will one day die. We don’t know when that day and time will come. I think one of my biggest fears is dying without truly living in the purpose God set out for me before He formed me in my mother’s womb (JEREMIAH 1:5). We can choose to give our time to so many frivolous things. Those wasted seconds turn into minutes and then into hours and so on. But we can choose to make the most of our time. We can choose to first give our time to the Creator of all things including time. We can pray to God for the many things we desire, but are we willing to give Him the necessary time to understand His desires and possibly get the answers to those prayers. I am learning to seek God more. I’m learning that my new levels require more time with Him to understand His plans. In the end, all will pass away, but God will remain. Seek kingdom things and wait for what He brings.
**The picture above is a picture is from an area I have admired for a while now. Today I felt with all my being that this was the day to capture the vision. So listened to His voice. Not a minute too early, not a minute too late, I captured the vision. I'm so thankful for each day. It’s all about timing.
